An unforgettable excursion aboard a characteristic train in the mythical land of Ulisses through the hills of St. Agata to the historic hamlets of Massa Lubrense. Enjoy the splendid panoramic scenery of Capri and the views of the bay of Salerno and the bay of Naples (Due Golfi).
You will taste mozzarella, olive oil, limoncello, jams, preserves and other delicacies that the farms of this flourishing land offers.

Tour includes visits to the Desert, a monastery built by the Discalced Carmelite Fathers, now the seat of the Benedictine Sisters of Saint Paul, is built on the hill that gives its name to the complex. On the terrace of the building there is a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the Gulf of Naples and Salerno, offering a natural spectacle without equal.

Near the monastery, and more precisely in the locality Vadabillo, was found a necropolis containing several tuff sarcophagi. During the excavations, an ancient amphora has been unearthed depicting a winged mermaid. Some scholars argue that this finding, along with other indications obtained from other excavations, may suggest that on this hill, a temple dedicated to the mermaids was erected, which legend wants placed in these waters.

The town of Termini, facing the island of Capri and on a hill at the foot of Mount San Costanzo (300 meters above sea level), boasts an enviable location with beautiful views.

The tour departs from Marina Grande, Sorrento. Once we leave the bay, we start navigating along the ancient Greek walls to arrive at the Nymphaeum’s ruins of Agrippa Postumo’s ancient villa. We also stop along and paddle our way into a 19-meter artificial cave that was originally used as a fishpond.

After about 30 minutes of slow paddling, we will reach “Villa Pollio Felice” and The Baths of Queen Joan. One of the most important archaeological sites of the Sorrento ­peninsula, rich in history, nature and legend.

After spending about 20 to 30 minutes visiting the Roman ruins and enjoying the fantastic view from there, we get on board again. During the voyage back to the meeting point in Marina Grande, we can fully admire the amazing panorama of the Sorrento hills from the sea.
